Details  :  Epiphytic orchid. The stem is shaped like a round pencil, hanging down, 50-70 cm long, 1-1.8 cm in diameter. Leaves are ovate with parallel edges, 1.5-2 cm wide, 7-10 cm long, leaves are shed when flowers are produced. Flowers are solitary or in short branched clusters at the nodes. Sepals and petals are purple-red. Lips are white with soft hairs and have dark purple-red spots on the edges of the petals and in the middle of the petals. Flowers when fully bloomed are 6 cm wide. Found in rainforests at an altitude of 300-800 meters in the northern, northeastern and western regions. Flowers bloom from February to March.
